Kitulo National Park, often called the “Garden of God,” is a hidden gem in Tanzania. This unique park is one of the first in tropical Africa dedicated to preserving its extraordinary flora, boasting over 350 species of plants, including a stunning array of orchids. Between November and April, the plateau transforms into a vibrant tapestry of colours as wildflowers bloom in abundance. While wildlife is not the main attraction, visitors can still encounter various bird species and small mammals during treks in this extraordinary park.

Hiking through the park offers breathtaking views and a chance to immerse oneself in nature. Floating at around 2,600 metres (8,500 ft) between the rugged peaks of the Kipengere, Poroto and Livingstone Mountains, the well-watered volcanic soils of Kitulo support the largest and most important montane grassland community in Tanzania.
