Saadani National Park & Attractions
If you dream of combining a beach vacation with a typical East African safari, consider the spectacular Saadani National Park. It is the only national park in East Africa that boasts an Indian Ocean beachfront. Here, you can spot lions treading on the beach, or elephants splashing in the ocean.
Saadani offers the stuff safari dreams are made of: driving through the jungle to spot leopards in the morning, and sipping a cocktail on the beach that same evening. With a Petit Maasai Safari in Saadani National Park, you can experience both safari game drives and boat rides to experience wildlife.
While located in a more secluded area of Tanzania, the opportunities to spot wildlife in Saadani make it worth the drive. Saadani’s beaches are known as the nesting grounds of the lovely Green Sea Turtles.
Timing is everything with hatchings, but connect with us to learn when the next group of new turtles are likely to hatch for a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the beaches of Tanzania.
Other wildlife you might witness include: giraffes, lions, leopards, hippos, buffaloes, the endemic red duiker, herds of zebras and too many monkeys to count.
Saadani National Park might not be Tanzania’s most famous park, but it offers unique experiences from sea turtles to beachfront safari drives for those who want to blend a beach holiday with an exciting wildlife safari.

Best Time To Visit Saadani National Park
The best time to visit Saadani National Park is from January to March, and June to September. The wet season (April and May) could see some disruptions with roads and driving conditions, while some of the animals migrate during the driest months (October and December).

Our Travellers Reviews
Outstanding tour operator
I can't say enough good things about Bryson and Petit Maasai. Bryson handled our last-minute trip to Tanzania like he'd been working on it for months instead of a handful of days after we connected about a week before our family arrived.
Awsome
Exciting trip!!! Bryson made a private tour with masai mbome & we had a rest in mountains near Ngorongoro - everything was awsome!!! Morevover, all of our individual things we re made with great discount!Mike is great ranger too!
Kilimanjaro With Petit Maasai safaris- 5 stars!!!
We book 7 days Kilimanjaro with Petit Maasai safaris after having the safari with another company and we made it with a brilliant guide to the summit. We took the Lemosho route, starting in the rain forest and approached the camp via various tents campsites.
A great experience!
We did a safari in the northern parks of Tanzania with Petit Maasai Safaris and it was a great experience! The guide and the cook were really professional and nice with us, trying to make us feel comfortable and to satisfy our requests. Thanks a lot!
