Traveling in Tanzania is more than just a vacation. For many explorers of Tanzania, this is a bucket-list adventure to remember for a lifetime.
Health Precautions in Tanzania
Drinking Water: Petit Maasai Safaris will provide drinking water every day of your tour. Please only drink bottled or boiled drinking water. Do not drink out of the tap at your hotel or other places.
Insects: You may encounter tsetse flies or mosquitoes when in the national parks. This is a reality in wild areas. We recommend swearing insect repellant with DEET to deter insects. While Malaria is becoming less-and-less a concern throughout Tanzania, it is a good idea to sleep under a mosquito net (provided by all accommodations we partner with) and wear mosquito repellent after sunset.
Travel Vaccinations - Talk with your doctor about travel vaccinations before your departure to Tanzania. Some vaccinations might need to be given 4-6 weeks before your departure, so plan ahead!
