After Breakfast, visit Akagera National Park (Approx 2.5 hrs drive) and enjoy wildlife viewing until sunset. You may also consider taking a boat trip on Lake Ihema, where you will pass through a forest lake and have a chance to spot crocodiles and hippos. Our preferred partner in this area is Magashi Luxury Tented Camp, which offers comfortable amenities in a stunning setting, overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga. Full Board.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in this beautiful park. Animals you may spot include rhinos, lions and elephants. In the late afternoon or evening, return to Magashi Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight. Full Board.

After breakfast proceed to Volcanoes National Park, home of Rwanda’s famous gorillas (Approx 4.5 hrs drive). Enjoy a picnic lunch and continue within the park on an exciting game drive. In the evening, settle into your accommodations. Our preferred hotel partner is Virunga Hotel, located just outside of the park with incredible views over the Virunga Volcanoes and two impressive lakes. Full Board.

This day is an early start (approx 6:30 am) for Gorilla Trekking, with the option of a picnic breakfast in the wild or an early breakfast at the hotel. You may opt to return to the hotel for a hot lunch and a game drive in the park for the later afternoon, or have the full day trekking with gorillas in the forest. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. An early morning departure to drive to Nyungwe Forest (4.5 hrs drive). Upon arrival at the National Park, complete a short briefing to prepare for Chimp Trekking the following morning. There will be an opportunity to walk in the national forest, do bird watching or even enjoy a canopy walk before returning to your accommodations for dinner and rest. A day in the famous Nyungwe Forest, the oldest montane rainforest in Africa. Here, you will walk in the wild amongst chimpanzees, explore the rainforest from the forest floor. Additional options to complete waterfall hikes and canopy walks, too. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe House. Full Board.

This is the final day of the luxury Rwanda Safari, with a drive from Nyungwe Forest to Kigalii (Approx 3.5 hrs drive) Your time in Kigali will include a tour of the Rwanda Genocide Museum before a final transfer to the airport.
