Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a representative of Petit Maasai Safaris and transferred to your hotel.

Once settled in, you will have short safari briefing, when you will meet your guide and ask any questions you may have.

Enjoy a restful evening, with a chance to see a bit of the modern city of Nairobi, full of shopping malls, museums, and restaurants with live music.

 Dinner and Overnight.

Start your safari after breakfast, heading to Amboseli National Park. This is an ideal location for your first game drive, with impressive numbers of elephants and lions in the area.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near Lake Amboseli or a hot lunch at your accomodations.

A full day to explore Amboseli National Park. Start with a sunrise breakfast and early game drive, or a relaxing morning at your lodge and a walking tour around Observation Hill and Sinet Delta, where you will likely see towers (groups) of giraffes.

After breakfast, head to Lake Naivasha with a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint.

Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you may opt for a boat ride or a walking tour of the area.

The lakefront is an ideal place to enjoy a snack and do some bird watching.

Option to add an additional day to visit neighboring Hell’s Gate National Park, perfect for mountain biking, rock climbing or hiking.

Your drive to Masai Marai Reserve is quite long (approximately 5 hours) but covers stunning landscapes. Portions of the road may be rough, but that’s part of adventuring into the wilds of East Africa!

Have a brief game drive before heading to your accommodations, where you might enjoy an evening swim, nature walk or take in a fabulous sunset.

Option to fly into Masai Mara from Nairobi (Approx 45 Min Flight), out of Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, if you prefer less time in transit and more time wildlife viewing.

Full Board

Another day of exploring the beauty of Masai Mara Reserve.

Consider an early morning drive, which is the best time to spot leopards and cheetahs on the prowl, then return to your accommodations for a hot lunch and ‘siesta’ with a swim or cultural experience in the afternoon.

The Maasai Mara is famous for its large number of predators and the many heads of zebras and wildebeests. You are sure to enjoy a classic safari at Kenya’s most popular destination.

Full Board

After a brief morning game drive, exit the reserve and begin driving back to Nairobi (4-5 hrs drive). 

Return to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, or your Nairobi-area hotel, for the conclusion of your safari tour.

If you wish to spend a little more time in the bush, consider a quick 45-min flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi Wilson Airport, additional fees apply.
